Strategy and network review

The provision of integrated public transport services that meet the needs of the travelling public is vital in supporting the economy, reducing emissions from transport and enhancing social mobility. We work with our clients to assess whether their strategies align with wider objectives and undertake detailed reviews to develop deliverable, financial sustainable services that represent value for money.

Bus franchising and partnerships

The National Bus Strategy has put buses firmly back on the mobility agenda, enabling local authorities to consider how services are delivered in their areas. We support our clients to develop regulartory and delivery models that meet their needs, from the management of Enhanced Partnerships to assisting in the development of franchising models.

Fares and ticketing

Lower fares and the simplification of fares and ticketing, are key aspects of the National Bus Strategy, aiming to make public transport more attractive, affordable, and easy to use. Working with operators and local authorities, we design and implement ticketing solutions, using big data models to predict and evaluate, and consider both traditional ticketing and technology-led solutions.

Business case and funding applications

Securing funding for our clients has become increasingly important, whether for new vehicles or other public transport infrastructure. We support local authorities through the entire process. We have prepared full and outline businesses cases to support bus franchising and secured funding for the introduction of new electric buses and infrastucture upgrades.
